Narrative description of the Project: The Seti Lok Marga (Highway) connects Achham District, Bajura District and Bajhang District and meet border of China. The proposed Seti Lok Marga (SLM) is expected to improve accessibility and the most attractive point for the alternative road to go China from Far Western Development Zone. The Seti Lok Marga Development Project (SLMDP) has been established under Department of Road (DoR), Ministry of Physical Planning, Works and Transport Management (MoPPWTM). The Project focuses mainly on development of Seti Lok Marga.
The physical coverage of the Study will be the road right of way (30 m) and road formation with (7.5 m) and carriageway width (3.75 m). The directly affected VDCs during the development of road within the alignments of Seti Lok Marga, as proposed by the Feasibility Study of the Project are:
Achham District: Siddheswar, Ghughurkot, Babla VDCs.
Bajura District: Barabis, Gudukhati, Atichaur VDCs.
Bajhang District: Gadaraya, Loyata, Kailash, Luyata, Hemantawada, Subeda, Rithapata, Chainpur, Sunikot, Dhamena, Kada VDCs.
Description of Actual Service Provided: Preparation of Scoping Document for EIA Study of the Proposed Project and get approval from MoEnv, Preparation of Terms of Reference for EIA Study of the Proposed Project and get approval from MoEnv, Conduct Baseline Survey for preparation of EIA Report as per Scoping Document and ToR, Tabulation and analysis of data, Impact Identification, Prediction and Evaluation, recommend Beneficial Impact Maximization and Adverse Impact Mitigation Measures, Conduct Alternative Analysis, Prepare Monitoring Plan, Prepare Environment and Social Management Action Plan, Prepare Audit Plan, Conduct Public Hearing and other Public Consultations at various stages of Project as envisaged by EPR
Prepare EIA Report, present it to MoEnv and get Approval from MoEnv, Knowledge Transfer to Client’s Staff during the course of Study.
