IEE study of Nyam Nyam Khola Hydropower Project, Rasuwa
Introduction
Narrative description of the Project: Nyam Nyam Khola Hydropower Project in Rasuwa district. This is a run-off-river scheme, with the design discharge 1.5m3/s and 378m gross head that will generate 6MW of electric energy. The project consists of headworks with a weir across the river to divert flow, headrace with penstock pipe as a water conveyance system, and surface powerhouse in Mailung Dobhan on right bank of Trishuli river.
Description of Actual Service Provided: Preparation of Terms of Reference (ToR) and Report on Initial Environmental Examination (IEE) study, which includes: (a) Preparation and approval of ToR for IEE study of 6 MW Nyam Nyam Khola Hydropower Project in Rasuwa, (b) baseline data collection of biophysical, socio-economic as well as cultural environment, (c) public consultation, (d) Preparation of draft and final IEE report of entire projects, (e) incorporation of comments and approval of the report from the concerned government line agencies (Ministry of Energy)
